![]() I know about the low-cost bullet + OP regen bullet - that's what I was talking about. If that's the right word, considering that doing without isn't HARD, just TEDIOUS, as mentioned above. Less of a difficulty-curve, more of a difficulty-WALL. It seems like the bottom line is "Yes, you DO need a huge arsenal of different weapon-types with different elements and the skills to use them all effectively, starting at level 3." Which seems a BIT poorly-balanced, if you ask me. Low cost bullet + OP regen bullet (which is available from the start and allow you to shoot indefinitely)Ī little bit of reference regarding the bullet i mentioned above (and proof that it's not sucks)Īnd if you need some playthrough references: Item Effect Up + Item Effect Up (improve OP gain from consumables) One of the earliest gun with this skill is rank 5 Deus Gun (blast)) Trigger Happy and Frugal (to reduce OP cost, Frugal is available at rank 2, while trigger happy is a little bit harder to get. Cornix Predator Style (which will be unlocked at rank 7, it's the best method to regain OP and able to refill the whole 150 OP bar in single devour) While Pierce type weapon would be the easiest one for this case, since it's effective against kongou's foot, and yet it still deal considerable amount of damage to kongou's body, arm, and face.Įlement is important tho if you want to maximize damage, depending on how effective the element against the part resistance, you might deal up to 75% more damage (for melee).Īs for gunning, to be effective, you will need a way to sustain your OP, which includes: The difficulty to consistently hit those weak spot also varies,įor example: Fighting Kongou with Sunder type weapon which only effective against kongou's face and tail is considerably harder compared to Crush type weapon, which is effective against kongou's face and arm. And these last few missions where I've taken on medium and large enemies with only a SINGLE ally by my side have been awful.Īs you notice, each enemy has different weak spot for each damage types. heck, I can't even upgrade my allies' abilities until I've progressed further in the story. ![]() ![]() But it's not like I can upgrade my gear any further, and there doesn't seem to be any OTHER way to increase my offensive power. These fights aren't difficult or challenging, just TEDIOUS. I seriously feel like I must be missing something. but they also do pathetic damage, enough so that killing medium-to-large enemies with them takes even LONGER that way. Made some elemental bullets that don't cost OP as long as they hit, enabling me to shoot with 'em all day. I read elsewhere on this forum that Assault-weapons were the best DPS, with OP-neutral bullets and stuff. And half the time, they don't do much damage anyway because they fail to hit one of the teeny 'vulnerable areas'. particularly if I wanna use the really big Blaster-type shots, like the infamous Meteor. I copied some bullet-formulas off the wiki, and they seem to be reasonably effective, but I have to spend ages chopping away at the enemy to recover OP between each shot. and besides, it doesn't seem like using the right element really makes all that much difference. Having a full arsenal of elemental weapons also seems like it shouldn't be a requirement this early in the game. I try to use elemental advantage whenever possible, but I just don't HAVE third-tier weapons on hand for every possible element, much less ones I'm competent in. Hit the monkey's tail and the bird-man's face, sure, when possible, but most of my attacks just aren't going to hit that specific tiny area no matter WHAT I do. but my ability to hit those are sharply limited. Good grief! I can spend 10-15 minutes just chopping my way through a SINGLE armored scorpion! And now I'm seeing missions with 3-4 medium enemies. Worse, most of the Medium-sized ones tend to be highly mobile, jumping and flying all over the place, leaving me to spend even more time running after them just so I can keep attacking for pitiful damage. I can dodge, block and heal with the best of them - staying alive isn't really a concern. Gah! Fighting them is like cutting your way through a concrete wall with a nail-file. ![]() ![]() Then I hit Level 3, and started running into Medium-Sized Aragami. Starting out, I had a lot of fun in this game. ![]()
